(Un)limited Design Contest

Short Description:

Inspired by the video game Super Mario, Super Santa is designed in 3D and printed out with a ZPrint 450 3D printer. Super Santa consists of 513 voxels (3D pixels) of 2x2x2cm and 35 light bulbs.

I had the idea of making an artwork made out of pixels for a long time. When the work in my studio display window was outdated around chrismas time, I decided to make a pixelated Santa.

Object measurments: height 36cm, with 32cm and depth 12cm.
