Short Description:
I was looking for a nice case to carry my newly treasured i-pad around. Searching the internet, I didn't find one that i liked and suited my needs.
I wanted a cool looking case that was sturdy enough to protect the i-pad bouncing around in my bag as well as keep sand and dust out.
Owning a laptop sleeve made of old printer blankets I had already decided that would be the material to use. The rubber mats are strong and they look cool as you can see the last thing that was printed on it.
It also works on another level. As I read more and more on the i-pad I use less printed matter, however I still love print. Thus the case will be a reminder of the beauty of print every time I take out the pad.
Branding to me is an intricate part of design for everyday use so I decided to give the case a name. I ended up naming it ike-N its an anagram of my first name and when you say it out loud it should sound like "I can" which embodies the spirit of the fablabs.
