(Un)limited Design Contest

Short Description:

I've made this lamp for two reasons: I wanted to make something in a FabLab and somebody needed a reading light. Good reasons to start building! The light had to be right above a couch, where a bookshelf is. I didn't want to spend too much money on it but the total costs ended up at €60.

Materials I used:

- 2 plexiglass sheets of 25x50cm and 5mm thick

- 1m plexiglass rod 5mm diameter

- Super glue

- Approximately 5mm thick rubber or rubber-like material. An old mousepad will work well too.

- Lamp socket E14

- 8W fluorescent lamp

- 3m wire with plug
